How much does mattress removal cost?
Mattress removal is priced per piece, and a box spring counts as a second piece. The price includes the carry-out and the recycling or disposal fee that mattresses carry, which is why they're quoted separately from general junk.
Why mattresses have their own fee
Mattresses take up a lot of truck space for their weight, they can't be compacted, and disposal facilities charge a per-unit fee to accept them. Recycling — where the foam, fiber, and steel springs are separated — carries its own handling cost.
Multiple mattresses
Each additional mattress or box spring on the same visit is cheaper than the first, since the truck and the crew are already there. Whole-house sets from an estate or rental turnover are quoted together.
Bed bugs and soiled mattresses
Tell us in advance if a mattress may have bed bugs. We wrap it in plastic on arrival so nothing spreads through the house or the truck — it's not a problem, but it does need to be planned for.
